I always figured that the 2009 Enterprise was always a lot bigger than the USS Kelvin. In my mind it makes more sense anyway.

The sizes of the Federation ships all makes sense. Same as my Star Trek Encyclopaedia.

jk, i've always had a soft spot for the shenanigans and green women of the original series.
