Are the European and the US players still being forced onto separate servers, though?

Not that I am aware of, or at least for the Alpha. I did spend more time looking at a server down or a queue screen than playing, As expected  ;D

From last I head I believe they are planning to allow people access via US and EU servers no matter who their account is with
