bloody internationalisation
« on: 14. February 2008, 12:22:20 (12:22 PM) »

I know most of us use the SOE-Signature now as their tag in these forums. SOE seems to make the conclusion to build them in the language the browser is using, so for example to me Bleh is a "Beschwörermeister" as class and a "Versorger" as tradeskiller  German can be very :2funny:

To solve this I see two possibilities:
  • install an english browser version
  • make all of you use "/en" in your signature address, like eq2players.station.sony.com/en/character_profile.vm?characterId=248682203
Both solutions are not very comfortable. Does anyone have a better idea? ;)

There is one other way too...my browser is installed in french, but in the settings (I use firefox), I choosed that, would there be a choice of language in the page I'm seeing, it would automaticaly choose english. and thus I see all of them in english (except those that were "forced" into another language. :)

To do that: Tools - Options - Advanced - Languages- choose.

The down side of this way is that all internationalised sites you'll be browsing will open in english (you'll have to manualy chance their language if you don't want english)

Excellent!  Using this information, I've changed mine to German!  I prefer it that way!
