Dear Mom and Dad,

i am doing ok. I hope you are doing good too. Tell Peter and Joe that being in the army beats working on a farm by far. They should apply as soon as possible before all spots are taken.

First i had real problems sleeping until 6 AM, but now i got used to sleep that long. Before breakfast you only have to make your bed and polish some items.
No Animal feeding, no making fire no cleaning of stables, nothing. Men have to shave before breakfast, but thats ok since they got warm water.

Breakfast itself is strange, a lot of juice Cereals Eggs but no potatoes ham or steaks, but tell Peter and Joe that if you sit next to someone from the city you can just take their breakfast since they only drink coffee. That lasts until lunch. Now i am not surprised anymore those guys from the city can't run for so long.

We do walk a lot, our drill instructor tells us it's good to make us harder. Well if he says so, i as a recruit can't argue with him. The common walks here are about as far as from our farm to the next post office. Once we're there we drive back in trucks because they all claim their feet hurt.

This will enjoy Peter!
I am getting awards for shooting. I don't know why. The black circle is way bigger than a rats head and doesn't even move and doesn't fire back like our neighbours. All you have to do is lay down and hit it.
You don't have to make your own ammunition either, they got it ready in crates.

Then there is close combat training. You can wrestle with those guys from the city! But you have to be careful, they break easily. Way easier than catching a bull with your hands. I am really good, but i only won once against this Jack. That might be because i am only 1,70cm and 65kilos and he is 200 cm and 120kilos.

Don't forget to tell Peter and Joe how things work here before others notice it and take all the good spots.!
