I was standing in East Freeport last night and a GM showed up, pissing me of by aoeing the entire zone. Afterwards he promised some newbies some "muffins" so he was going to get some. It took a bit long so i checked where he went: first hold of Prexus whatever that is and afterwards Sebillis. so I said: they aint comming back typically GMish they are liars .

Kinda funny all of this tho so wanted to post so you all can have a idea wth I mean
Having been a GM on another server until recently. The answer is no..they don't.
These folks are NOT GM's as such. They are players who VOLUNTEER to spend time with players. SOE has basically neutered them. In EQ1 Player GM's can do a ton of very cool things. In EQ2 they really can not do anything except unstick you.
It sucks really. .In EQ1 the GM's can morph players and them selves. They can buff and give out some very cool items.
In EQ2 they can give you food that is useless after about lvl 10.
In EQ1 there are about 400 canned events a player GM can do. In EQ2 there are 4 and they are geared to players lower than 40.
In EQ1 the payer GM's are expected to help you. They can return some items etc.
In EQ2 they can tell you to go to the support site.
Being a player GM in EQ2 is pointless. It was a waste of time. I thought i could help and have some fun. They restrict what you can do so much it is frustrating as hell.
The reason I know what they can do in EQ1 is I was a player GM in EQ1 and I used to read the secret web site that GM has access to.
Hold of Prexus is a private area only GM's have access to.
SO be nice to the GM's they really want to help but they just can't do a damn thing but RP and get picked on. (Another reason I quit doing it)
